In the early days of my guitar making (2016) I felt like I needed to make a choice.. either learn what makes a guitar sound really good or learn all the tricks for making a guitar look really good.  I chose..."Tone First Always"! 

The aesthetics and complexity of my guitars caught up eventually with experience, but it was really important for me to have that firm foundation in my understanding of "what makes a guitar sound its best?", first. 

With that knowledge under my belt I evolved as a builder. The next challenge was how to perfectly fit each guitar to the individual musician. No cookie cutters here!  I want every aspect to be just right and I want that guitar to fit them like a glove! My goal is to make each guitar feel like that old, reliable friend that can be always be counted on and always gets played first!
